the fleeting space of autumn

In freewrite, poetry on October 30, 2010 at 10:51 pm

I exist in a breif and fleeting space of autumn
I find beautiful, broken, leaves
that are dying
and I love
and die with them
till both I and the leaves become ashes.

Everything was painted black&white
Until the grey scale of the night
Made us fall between the shades
to red

Umbrella lyrics – Song coming soon!

In lyrics, poetry on October 22, 2010 at 1:01 pm

It’s a high of sixty nine today
And they say it’s gonna rain
Bring your umbrella
Bring your umbrella

It’s a high of sixty nine today
And, God willing, it’ll rain
Bring your umbrella
Bring your umbrella

Summer’s gone
There’s no reason to
live back there
We’ve got autumn in
Our autumn colored hair

Summer’s gone
And the winter will
soon be here
Take deep breaths, my friends
Our deaths are drawing near

It’s a high of forty nine today
Leaves are falling —- —- —
Keep your umbrella
Keep your umbrella

It’s a high of forty nine today
It’s all slipping away
Keep your umbrella
Keep your umbrella

Summer’s gone
There’s no reason to
live back there
We’ve got autumn in
Our autumn colored hair

Summer’s gone
And the winter will
soon be here
Take deep breaths, my friends
Our deaths are drawing near

Summer’s gone
There’s no reason to
live back there
We’ve got autumn in
Our autumn colored hair

Summer’s gone
And the winter will
soon be here
Take deep breaths, my friends
Our deaths are drawing near

It’s a high of twenty nine today
The snow is falling again
Leave your umbrella
Leave your umbrella

by any other name

Well, our hearts speak what our minds don’t even know yet
The words fall out of our mouths into our hands
We let them go and they lie scattered cross the cables
And then we play them like a mariachi band

Oh
And so it goes
Oh
A rose is a rose
Until it grows
dies
and becomes part of the earth from which it came

Time falls as swiftly as an anvil
We take one breath and our deaths follow our births
Your fingers play upon my arm like a musician
And my heart floats juxtaposition to the earth

Oh
And so it goes
Oh
A rose is a rose
Until it grows
dies
and becomes part of the earth from which it came

red leaf

Here is the truth:
I can’t give you the words,
Because in grasping them their worth
Would crumple in my hand
Like a red leaf

Bando

In poetry on October 18, 2010 at 9:56 am

I’m a Bando
I’m a wanderer
I’m not a good man –
Just told some good lies

I’m a Bando
An old weary traveller
But still too young
And too afraid
To die

It’s all gone
Don’t ask what
It doesn’t matter.
They left me –
cloths on my back
guilt in my soul

I’m a Bando
A begger and a sinner
Looking for a guitar
Maybe even hope

God, God
I’m dirty
I’m scared
God, the pain’s
The only cloths I wear

I’m a Bando
Squatting in a dying world
I’m a traveller
Heaven’s my home

madness

In poetry on October 10, 2010 at 8:07 pm

Lullaby
Quiet little baby
Don’t you cry
Whatever you do
Just don’t open your eyes
Live in the dream

It’s too dark
Don’t you realize you’re subject to harm?
If you release your will and your soul
Into our arms

We’ll take the rest, you’ll see

It’s a mad mad dance, lads
In due measure the time’s gonna catch up with you
It’s a madman’s transe, lads
When you awake reality’s staring at you

Lullaby
Quiet little baby
Don’t you cry
Whatever you do
Just don’t open your eyes
Live in the dream

It’s too dark
Don’t you realize you’re subject to harm?
If you release your will and your soul
Into our arms

We’ll take the rest, you’ll see

beautiful place

In poetry on October 10, 2010 at 12:54 am

it was desert
wide endless desert
dirty
and scattered with disfigured trees

with an arched-sky
deep endless arched-sky…

that lovely wretch
surpassed all beauty I have ever seen

place

In poetry on October 10, 2010 at 12:40 am

at the deserted highrise
with it’s piano
the skye knows something
even we don’t
for loves and winds
there are no boundries
place is where we both are
place is where we breathe

beauty

In poetry on October 10, 2010 at 12:31 am

beauty is the bright leaves dying
who’ve gathered, shaded, breathed
and paid their dues
beauty is our young eyes crying
for everything that our hearts have
to lose
