smoke

In freewrite, poetry on November 27, 2010 at 3:14 pm

I wrote them out on paper-
My wants and my woes –
Set them flaming with a taper
And I breathed the smoke

And it stays in my lungs
Yes, it stays in my lungs

– Like a prayer candle –
in a chapel
