the sixth avenue train

In freewrite, poetry on February 28, 2011 at 7:40 pm

The sixth avenue train is coming – Pack you bags, boys – It’s rumbling like a load of rocks – Pick up the pace, boys – The sixth avenue train is coming – – Listen! – The train won’t wait for ever, boys – Pack up your bags – Pick up the pace – The sixth avenue train is coming – Why don’t you wake up? – They’re coming for us – Can’t you hear it? – It’s louder than a load of trucks – – Listen! — Hear it! –

It’s gone.
