The Days We Will Forget

In freewrite, poetry on March 17, 2011 at 9:36 am

These are the days we will forget:

June 14th
The day you said that you would marry me
You told me all of life was entropy
To contrast eternity in love.

New Years day
We cried: For childhood had died away
And we were so unsure of what to say
and what to do
and who trust
and who fall in love with

Saturday night
We had burnt pancakes
And we watched the lights
Of the city
Like of jar shooting stars
Shattering
Scattering shards inside our hearts.

Yesterday
I got your letter just a day too late
With all the soft words that you didn’t say
And then tomorrow came.

These are the days we will forget.

  1. Saturday night
    We had burnt pancakes
    And we watched the lights
    Of the city
    Like of jar shooting stars
    Shattering
    Scattering shards inside our hearts.

    Yesterday
I got your letter just a day too late
With all the soft words that you didn’t say
    And then tomorrow came.

This can stand as a poem itself.
The emotions are intense, I like it!

  2. **sigh**
Childhood sweetheart? Oh well, I haven’t been able to forget him yet 🙂
