Audrey Ashira

the poet and his girl

In lyrics on March 21, 2011 at 11:39 am

If we two were like the birds
In the tree
On your arm
You would write me letters
On the leaves

All the day
We would sing our songs
And you would write poetry
On my wings

If we two were like the children
In the park
You would blow Wrigley’s bubbles
Bigger than me

All night long
We would try to float
We’d laugh
As we closed our eyes to gravity

If we two
Were mountain climbers
We would find
A place far above the valley

Linking arms,
We would jump
And fly
Landing in a splash of green.
